Good morning everyone. I hope you all are doing well.
I have to share some sad news with you all this morning, and certainly don’t want to bring anyone down. My heart is a bit heavy this morning.
Some of you know of the young mother who I’ve been helping. We helped her file bankruptcy and bought her a car. If you recall, she has a profoundly disabled child, who turned 9, just this past August. Well, he passed away yesterday at 1230. He slept away. He was in the car of his father, b/c the mother was in the process of moving.
Quite naturally, the mother is devastated. There are accusations that the father was inattentive, and an autopsy has been ordered.
To compound all of this, while the young lady was relocating, she moved in with her parents, who live in a very bad neighborhood. So, yesterday, the car was stolen.
My heart is so heavy with this situation. We had been talking to her about home ownership, and was doing our best to help her get on a path forward to a better life for her an her son. I don’t know what to think right now, b/c my head is just spinning over all that has happened.
So, not so much for me, but keep this family lifted up. This family does not have a God center. I mean, they are the type who drift from pillar to post, from one tragedy to the next. I am praying for this family, but I have an uneasiness about this situation, as it unfolds in the next days to come. Its to the point that I told my daughter to stay the distance, b/c something does not feel right here.
But pray for this family…please.
Hey fam. I attended Nephew Tommy’s comedy show last night and it was hilarious. I laughed the entire two hours.

Willow’s song is cute and appropriate for her age. It’s not something I’m going to be listening to but it’s a fun dance song and I think it’s cute for little girls her age.

I’m definitely not in Jada’s fan club because I think she’s too ‘hard’ (if that makes sense) but I think she’s absolutely beautiful and I love her fashion sense.
I am not a Jada fan. I think her skin is absolutely beautiful. I think her little annoying azz makes the whole family annoying. Williw and Jaden’s hair is annoying.
I’m ready to throw in the house hunting towel. I fall in love and then get disappointed.
and back to Will Smith… he CGI (based on his physique in iRobot and I Am Legend). I think he’s a phenomenal actor and I love how he has evolved from rapper, to tv actor, to one of the most powerful actors in Hollywood (as a matter of fact, Tom Cruise is the only other actor in Will’s financial category).

LMAO @ Lovely!!! Prairie Village is in the bottom of the running because you don’t get near as much house for your money. I don’t think I’ve even looked at ONE house in Prairie Village, yet.
Mainly my search has been in Lees Summit. Their damn taxes are high though!! My mom owns her own real estate company and my step father is a contractor. I would have signed on the dotted line for a DUMP weeks ago if it weren’t for them. I’m lucky to have them on my side.

I learned last night that during my sister’s-in-law mammogram, they found a mass. She’s having a masectomy and reconstructive surgery this afternoon. Please keep her, my brother and the kids in your prayers. God is a healer, the ultimate doctor and I believe in the power of prayer.

Jazz – did you know Jermaine Dupree tried to remake Secret Garden with some of these new “r&b” dudes? You can’t touch a classic like that… it would be like Trey Songz trying to remake “Purple Rain”.
Some things are better left alone. Like John Legend did a good job on Wake Up Everybody but still can’t touch the original.

Prayers up for your sister in law HK! It seems like breast cancer is running rampant. My cousin, a good friend of mine, and old friend of mine and a coworker were all diagnosed within the last few months.

I had a FABULOUS weekend! Went to PD’s homecoming and had a BLAST! We went to the parade saturday morning, then to the football game (they lost to Gramblin), then to the step show saturday night! (Que’s & AKA’s won) DISCLAIMER: NO OFFENSE TO ANY AKA’S OUT THERE!!! Everyone kept saying the Delta’s were robbed cuz they threw down! The AKA’s were wack, they didn’t even step! But the Que’s THREW DOWN! PD loves the Kappa’s and all of her male friends are Kappa’s but they didn’t do a good job. When they were done stepping, their whole section got up and left out of embarassment! I didn’t think they did THAT bad, but PD says they were horrible! They didn’t do a lot of their signature can twirling, too busy tryna step. The AKA’s theme was “Goddess” and their performance was lackluster, IMO. We think the only reason the Delta’s lost was cuz they won the last one. Look at me, sounding like a college student! CTFU! NTway, we had a fabulous time! Me & my sis both drove 3 hours apiece and I drove the last 3 hours…I’m so freakin TIRED! I should’ve taken off today. Oh well, guess I’ll catch up on some sleep after work. Okay I’m done, what’s the T? *scrolling*

LOL @ lovely! I need to start back writing a list AND clipping coupons cuz food is HIGH! But you know the bill that’s REALLY been killing us? Gas! Fuel gas that is…I looked at our bank statement for last month and we spent damn near $500 on gas!
R does a lot of driving with his clients and his car is a gas guzzler, but DAMN, $500??? 
asize…..gas was putting a dent in our pockets too. Hubby was driving 45 minutes one way to work. Then for 2 weeks out the month, he was on call so at any given time day, night or weekend, he would have to drive that 45 minutes if someone had a maintenance emergency. that was on top of his daily mon-fri commute! They’ve since moved him back to his original site. It’s 3 minutes from the house. THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Since I moved, I don’t have NEARLY the gas bill I used to have. I used to fill up my tank every Sunday and now I can go Sun-Sun and only use a little over a half tank of gas.
