*NBC is giving “Undercovers” four more chances to boost its ratings.
While the network on Monday announced full season pickups for “The Event,” “Law & Order: Los Angeles” and “Outsourced,” and today announces full orders for “Chase” and “Chuck,” it has decided to order just four more episodes of its struggling Boris Kodjoe thriller.
Meanwhile, early ratings for CBS’s new chat show “The Talk” are in.
The program – airing at 2 p.m. and featuring co-hosts Holly Robinson-Peete, Sarah Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur – averaged 2.2 million viewers in its series debut Monday, and was No. 1 in its time period in 20 markets, including Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Orlando, Indianapolis and San Diego.
In comparison, the audience for its 11 a.m. ABC rival “The View” was 73% bigger than “The Talk,” earning 3.8 million viewers on Monday. Among women 25-54, “The View” had 956,000 to “The Talk’s” 686,000.
