Wentworth Miller Wants ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand’ Role?

   

*”Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller has reportedly expressed interest in taking over Andy Whitfield’s title role in “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” according to EW.com.

The Starz series is moving forward with a recasting after star Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and has been undergoing aggressive treatment.

According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, producers are in search of a male in his mid- to late 30s to play the role, which also requires an authentic British accent and the willingness to sign a three-year contract.

    Nightshift, You sure know how to coin a phrase! Who did you see the pics of Wentworth or Andy?

    I wonder why he is leaving the show… I’ve just started watching it on DVD, and I must say that it is going to be VERY hard to replace Andy. He is Magnificent in this role.
