*The rumors about Kanye’s PR person quitting aren’t true. A representative for the rapper recently reported that newly hired PR exec Susie Arons of Rubenstein Communications did not quit because of his appearance on the “Today” show.
According to reports, the new hire advised Kanye against making any appearance in reply to former president, George Bush’s claims that when the rapper called him a racist and that it was the “most disgusting” moment of his presidency.
After the TV talk, he then posted on his Twitter page that the interview left him feeling “alone, used, and tortured.”
Shortly thereafter, the PR lady allegedly quit afterward.
The New York Post reported that the hip-hop star hired high-powered PR executive Susie Arons to help him handle the interview, and ignored her initial pleas to scrap the appearance altogether. A source tells the newspaper the pair was “huddled” in between TV takes “because he (West) still hadn’t found a way to express himself”, and the subsequent fallout prompted Arons to quit her job just days later. However, a spokesperson for the rapper has dismissed the allegations, branding the story “malicious and clearly manufactured.”
