Midland School District Vice President Clint McCance wrote the posts in response to Spirit Day, a campaign to encourage support for gay youth, in light of the recent string of teen suicides as a result of bullying.
McCance, 31, used the words “queer” and “fag” on his personal Facebook page and repeatedly said he’d disown his children if he found out they were gay.
“Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers killed themselves,” he wrote in regards to Spirit Day last week. “The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that they sinned and killed thereselves (sic) because of their sin. REALLY PEOPLE.”
