*Shyne, the rapper who was jailed in the Sean Combs shooting incident in 1999, is now living in Israel as an Othodox Jew, reports the New York Daily News.
The 34-year-old, whose real name is Jamal Barrow, is now known as Moses Levi, and is currently working on new material.
Speaking about his change of religion and lifestyle, Shyne told the paper, “All these rules, rules, rules. But you know what you have if you don’t have rules? You end up with a bunch of pills in your stomach.”
Shyne, whose legal name is now Moses Levi, in the neighborhood of Mea Shearim, in Jerusalem.
The rapper was recently released from prison after serving a ten-year sentence for the Club New York shooting. Diddy was charged with gun possession, but was cleared in the high-profile trial.
Shyne is now studying at a rabbinical school in Israel and is reportedly preparing five new albums.
The 34-year-old will release the first two records, entitled “Messiah” and “Gangland” on Def Jam Records. He cannot legally enter the US but is planning to appeal the citizenship ruling.
