*T.I. announced today that “No Mercy,” his much-anticipated first studio release since 2008’s “Paper Trail,” will hit stores on Dec. 7…while he’s in federal prison.

Originally titled “King Uncaged,” “No Mercy” will feature collaborations with Kanye West, Eminem, Christina Aguilera and The-Dream.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, showed up shortly before noon, Nov. 1 at the gates of the Forrest City low-security prison in Arkansas, travelling in an entourage of two black Chevrolet Suburbans.

The 30-year-old is serving a second time for a weapons violation. He served about seven months in the Arkansas prison in 2009 before he was released last December on probation.

Last month, a federal judge sentenced him to serve another 11 months in prison for breaking his federal probation after he was arrested on Sept. 1 in Los Angeles on drug charges. Prosecutors in Los Angeles say they won’t file a felony drug charge against the rapper.
