*These days savvy celebs are diversifying their career portfolios.  Tasha Smith of “Why Did I Get Married” fame is no exception.  Smith is now producing gospel act, Holy Boy.

Holy Boy, is a former R&B singer originally from Alabama who’s first single “Been So Good” (RKD Music) is a toe-tapping reflection of his upbringing. An appreciator of voices like the late James Moore and the Mighty Clouds of Joy, Holy Boy says he’s a big fan of balladeers.

Smith, a lover of gospel music, said she decided to take on the producer role because she “felt a calling to empower the ministry of gospel music.”

As for Smith’s acting duties, expect to see her again in “Jumping the Broom” (from Tracy Edmonds/TD Jakes/Sony) co-starring Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine and Laz Alonzo.
