I’m pretty sure I’m only going to make one cake for Thanksgiving dinner. I’m just not in the mood for the grocery store and I’m definitely not in the mood to cook.
I know my friend is gonna call at the last minute and ask if I can bring a dessert on Saturday and I’m going to tell her no. Every time I host, she just comes and relaxes; I never expect them to bring stuff. I refuse to do some old last minute hat trick when she had plenty of time to request a dessert.

LHM – I’m disgusted but not surprised. Some women just don’t have the same respect for themselves and others. I don’t know where ‘we’ started to go wrong but I don’t know if ‘we’ are ever going to get better and get back on track.

I didn’t read the article but I read someone’s status last night that ol’ dude “hit it raw” 3 days after meeting her. WTH?!?!
I’m not God so I hesitate to judge this predicament. HOWEVER, she has the means to support the child and I don’t think she should have aborted the baby. But again, it’s not my decision and I wasn’t there so I don’t know how/what she was thinking but I’m pretty much anti-abortion unless the health of the mother is in jeopardy (or other extreme circumstances).

Love, I am there with you. But, I think she was thinking about things a little more wholistically. It would have been detrimental to her career to have a baby by a married man. She should have thought about that a when she first started spooging with him. Granted, he is nice-looking but she could have found a SANGLE man to kick it with….
To be honest, I think the ‘suicide’ attempt trip to the hospital was actually for her to have the procedure done. When she went to the park to meet him to talk she was on swole so she could have been pretty far along.
I am totally pro-choice and can think of several people that should have been aborted. J/K
Seriously, as much as I love daughter #2 and her babies, I would have been totally supportive of a decision to abort and really think it may have been the best decision for all involved.
OK. What happened to the first part of the post above?
In a nutshell, Fanny may have the money to support a child, but she is an emotional mess and her life is a mess. It’s one thing to screw the man, but to get pregnant by him? Is it fair to bring a child into that mess? What do you say? “Mama was scandalous and sexed somebody else’s husband and you are the result. Yeah, it’s too bad he don’t want either of us, but such is life?”
LHM – you’re probably right.
All I can do now is send up a prayer that she gets a clue…
YLY – I’m pro-choice to a degree. I think a lot of women use abortion as a method of birth control and I’m totally against that. Take the precautions BEFORE you get pregnant to NOT get pregnant and don’t abort a baby just because it’s not convenient for you and your career/budget/whatever.
YLY – she could have had the baby and put it up for adoption. There are too many people who want babies for her to just be making reckless decisions about which babies live and which don’t.
I can’t co-sign with her and her wack decisions…

Lovely…What better reason than it’s not convenient to your career/budget/whatever? A child deserves to be loved, cared for and wanted. If you don’t have that mindset, then you don’t need to have a baby. In theory, adoption is a wonderful option and I applaud all the women that choose that way, but realistically, in our communities, how many girls actually give up unwanted babies for adoption? I’m thinking of the quality of life of the unwanted child. I can’t hold that it’s better to be born, be unwanted and possibly mistreated than to be aborted.

YLY – how bad would the quality of that child’s life be? What would stop Fantasia from loving that child and providing for it? What would have stopped the dad from being in the child’s life?
My parents divorced and loved the crap out of me (well, at least my daddy did). You don’t always have to have a Huxtable house to get what you need.
Fanny isn’t living in public housing, she’s not incapable of love, she’s not a danger to anyone.

I think Fantasia’s has issues with men that she doesn’t see. She seems like the type that’s wants the guy all into her so she does whatever necessary. However she should no better than to think her vajayjay is better than the next woman and she can use that to keep a man because that is not the answer. I think she gets the men that she does because of who she is and them wanting all they can get from her. Maybe she should try some deep soul searching and counseling to know that it should be Fantasia and child first always.

Cuzzin… I agree. Abortion can be one of the most selfish unselfish things a woman can do. I just wish they’d give ME the baby so I can hug it and squeeze it and love it and… Well, you know~ LOL
Where I have problems is when chicks use abortion as a form of birth control. I.E. having unprotected sex knowing that if they get pregnant, they’ll just abort it. Why not be PROACTIVE in your approach. I’m just saying…

I would never tell someone they should have an abortion, but I would not think any less of someone that chose to. No woman should be forced to have a baby she doesn’t want for whatever reason she doesn’t want it. It’s irresponsible to use abortion as a form of birth control, but again, no woman should have a baby she doesn’t want.
I will go on the record and say I’ve had an abortion and I’ve had child and I’m still 100% happy with both of those decisions.

I am for the freedom of choicce. I think women should be able to make a decision as to whether they want to carry a life or not.
I have sat with someone who has had an abortion. She wasn’t ready for the child and really didn’t want the baby b/c this man was married as well.
