Report: Mary J. Blige Considering ‘Rock of Ages’ Film

*Mary J. Blige is reportedly in talks to star in the forthcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages.”

New York Magazine is reporting that the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul is eyeing the role of Justice Charlier, a woman who owns the Venus exotic dance club on Los Angeles’s Sunset Strip.

Blige could star alongside Tom Cruise, who is said to be in talks for the role of rock singer Stacee Jaxx in the production.

“Hairspray” helmer  and “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Adam Shankman is directing the film from a script by Chris D’Arienzo.
