*Susan Boyle was performing the Christmas carol “O Holy Night” on “The View” yesterday when she just stopped mid-song.

“I’m sorry, I had a bit of a frog in my throat,” Boyle explained after Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd were forced to rush on stage earlier than expected.

“Oh my gosh, Susan, there is something of an angel that comes out when you open your mouth,” Shepherd enthused. “An amazingly pure sound.”

Goldberg said she empathized with having a scratchy throat while singing. “Mine is always like that. That happens to you periodically, but when you’re performing what can you really do except stop and say, ‘I got a frog in my throat,’ yeah?”
