*Due to unforseen illness, R&B singer Will Downing has cancelled the rest of his concert performances for 2010.
Downing was diagnosed with the neuro-muscular disorder Polymiositis in 2007 and has since been in remission.
Under the advisement of his personal physician and as a precautionary measure, Downing will be resting for the balance of 2010.
All cancelled concert dates are being rescheduled for some time in 2011.
Downing’s latest CD, Lust, Love and Lies (An Audio Novel), was released on Peak Records on September 14th.
Let’s send our prayers and well wishes to Will so that he can overcome this problem and get back to making music as soon as possible. Stay strong, Will.
I was @ Will’s show the day after Thanksgiving with Najee and Maysa, and he announced that due to his illness he was going to stop touring but would continue to record. He sounded great, and I wish him the best and a full and speedy recovery.

Will is my all time favorite male singer. He is a rare breed in the music industry these days. I was saddened to hear of the re-occurrence of his disease but happy he listened to his body (this time), took the advice of the doctors and is taking a hiatus. His fans will still be buying the “records” and there when he hits the stage again. And if you don’t have his latest “Love, Lust and Lies” you need to get it it’s one of his best.

I love this guy. I always wondered which male artist comes close to Luther V. Will Downing was the only one came to my mind
