*Los Angeles – Datari Turner, creator, actor, and producer has several new projects that promise entertainment, drama, and access to life in a world beyond our imagination.
This standout is well known for breaking into the business as a model for the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency. He can be seen in popular publications GQ, Rolling Stone, Maxim, Details, People Weekly, Today’s Black Woman, The Source and Vibe Magazine.
As a Ford model he’s modeled for such clothing lines as Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John, RocaWear and continues to model and create entertainment projects for people of the world.
Turner created and is the executive producer of the reality television series, starring actress LisaRaye. Best known for her role on UPN’s “All of Us” and of “Diamond” in The Player’s Club, LisaRaye’s show “LisaRaye: The Real McCoy” will return for it’s Second Season on TV One in 2011. Turner also produced the film, now in post production, “Dysfunctional Friends and a Funeral”, starring Stacey Dash, Persia White, Tatyana Ali, Terrell Owens, Meagan Good and Essence Atkins, about 10 friends who went to college together but have not spoken to each other in seven years until one friend unexpectedly dies from a freak skydiving accident. It’s no question Datari Turner is on the road to being noted along with his role model producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Paula Wager, and David Geffen.
Following his passion and successfully transitioning into the entertainment industry as a writer/producer in film and television, Turner has produced several hit shows and a film. His credits include BET’s “The Ultimate Hustler” an urban reality TV show inspired by NBC’s The Apprentice; “I Married a Baller,” which showcases the lives of wives of famous athletes and highlighted Eddie George, former Tennessee Titan running back and his wife Taj George from R&B sensation SWV; and his first film “Video Girl” about the rise and fall of a video vixen which stars Meagan Good, Ruby Dee, Haylie Duff, and Paul Victor.
Turner makes 2011 Sundance film festival with the film “The Untitled Sam Levinson Project” formally called “The Reasonable Bunch” staring Demi Moore, Kate Bosworth, Thomas Haden Church, Ellen Barkin, and Ellen Burstyn. Turner produced the film along with Celine Rattray, Todd Traina, and Gordon Bijelonic. Film was written and directed by Sam Levinson who is only 25 years old.
