*Michelle Obama sported a Rachel Roy silk dress to Tuesday’s State of the Union address.
The choice for an American designed dress comes in the wake of backlash she received for wearing a European designer [Alexander McQueen] to the state dinner for China last week.
Roy, the ex-wife of former rap mogul Damon Dash, couldn’t be happier, tweeting: “So honored first lady Michelle Obama wore RR Silver Silk Shift Dress to the State of the Union Address last night!”
is there anything terribly wrong with huey springing woody’s every time he see’s the first lady? its not anything that i can prevent.
The dres Our First Lady wore last night was a bit plain IMO and I felt the color did not register well on TV. Perhaps it could of been a much bolder color. Michelle still looked elegant though. Her hair was especially nice. I liked the way it was styled and it looked freshly done.

Rachel Roy is Damon Dash ex-wife. Well they haven’t gotten a divorce yet. But they are separated. The first lady look elegant as well.
Someone said it was plain – no – u gotta understand how to wear a dress that may appear to be plain, but wear classy accesories to make it look elegant with your makeup done and your hair looking stunning with a body inside the dress to look curvy and trim! Go First Lady!!
I thought that she looked as beautiful and classy as ever. Yes, the dress was plain but it was intended to be. She spiced it up with accessories and her very nice figure. Still proud every time I see her. And what was the controversy about the dress for the Chinese president? I thought it was lovely.
