Swizz Beatz’s Ex to Star in VH1 Reality Show

*Mashonda wants the world to know that Alicia Keys didn’t steal her thunder when she scooped up her ex-hubby, Swizz Beatz. She wants everyone to know that she too is a fabulous, independent woman who knows how to turn things up.

So she and Fabolous’ girlfriend Kimberly Bustamante and Jim Jones’ girlfriend Christine “Chrissy” Lampkin are about to be a part of a new reality show on VH1, “Love & Hip-Hop.”

Formatted much like popular reality shows like “Basketball Wives” and “Football Wives,” the interesting mix of girlfriends and ex-wives of big industry stars are embarking on a public adventure through the life and times of, well, the lovers of rappers.

“The show is about strength and womanhood. I’m excited about the show and the women on it,” said Mashonda, in light of the women attempting to make a name in the entertainment industry.

Since the split with Beatz, Mashonda has been pretty open about her feelings toward the situation. She’s even called Alicia Keys a “homewrecker.” But whether or not the issue will be brought up in the show is yet to be revealed, although that would be a great selling point.

Besides that, Mashonda seemingly has moved on rather gracefully, welcoming the couple’s son Egypt into the lives of his new sibling Kaseem Jr.

The show is scheduled to air March 21.

  1. LOL. Hmm.

Alicia should be very worried. The controversy over her messy relationship start has been charmed away by the wedding and new baby. But with Mashonda front and center on VH-1…if she mentioned any dirt about Alicia and Swizz it will be all over the daily entertainment shows (who, like sharks, just love blood in the water).

Funny and treacherous move, Mashonda. Good job! LMAO.

Sorry…..it is near impossible to “steal” someone’s partner unless there wasn’t already weak spots in a relationship.
I never understand how the scorned partner wants to take on the new person.

Isn’t there argument with their soon-to-be ex partner?

These things are never easy but if you are honest with yourself, you have to acknowledge that the ship/home they thought they were building together, was built on a shaky foundation. That’s not the fault of the new interest (unless that party is intentionally rubbing salt into a deep wound).

Oh Please!!! Stop with all of these stupid reality show. What is the point of her being on one anyway BUT!! to get more publicity from her divorce from Swizz besides no one even knew who she was nor cared until she and Swizz were in the process of divorced and Alicia entered the picture.

  4. @Babycakes – You took the words right out of my mouth! If there wasn’t an audience for this type of foolishness, she would not have had a “reality” show. Why do people become famous and suddenly interesting because of who they are sleeping with or being dumped by or for? Please.
