  1. Today’s CHOCOLATE JAM is “Sexy MF” by Prince

  2. It looks like it’s not going to end well for Gilbert Arenas. His baby mama is the sister of one of the “Basketball Wives” chicks:

The on-again, off-again relationship between former Wizards star Gilbert Arenas and his girlfriend Laura Govan looks like it’s off for good — and a document obtained by the Reliable Source offers a window into their life together and what could be a stupendously expensive court battle.

In confidential notes, Govan — who is expecting her fourth child with Arenas — describes fights where he repeatedly threw her out of the house, his profligate spending (including a shark tank/pool/grotto complex said to cost $1 million), lavish vacations and spending sprees at toy stores.

And yet they never had a nanny, Govan complains, according to the notes: “he would state ‘you had them you watch them.’ ”

Their nine years together came to an end in November, shortly before Arenas was traded to the Orlando Magic and moved to Florida; Govan last month claimed through a rep that he had abandoned her and the kids, cutting off all communications and support.

That might have been the end of the public drama. But then Govan contacted Trope and Trope, a high-profile family law firm in Los Angeles, and met with an attorney from the firm. Somehow, nine pages of typewritten notes from their meeting ended up in the midst of a court filing in another, unrelated case handled by the firm. All the pages were filed in a public docket in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Trope and Trope did not return calls for comment. According to a court order allowing the firm to remove the notes from public record because they contained “confidential attorney-client privileged communications,” the firm “inadvertently copied and submitted” them due to a “clerical error.”

A representative for Govan said she declined to comment on the public disclosure of the document or their contents.

Laura Govan with two of her and Gilbert Arenas’s three young children: Izela and Alijah. (Avid Exposure Public Relations)But the notes — which appear to be her version of their life together — reveal lots of details about their relationship. Arenas, 29, and Govan, 31, first met in 2002, when she was coaching basketball at a Golden State Warriors camp. In addition to their three young children (the fourth is due in June), they went through other pregnancies that ended in miscarriages. Along the way, there were lots of break-ups and make-ups.

Some of the meeting notes confirm what Arenas himself shared on his popular, now-defunct blog: “I’ve done kicked her out of my house almost every weekend, yet she’s still here and she still believes in me,” he wrote in 2008 in a post describing his marriage proposal to her. The notes tell an almost identical story: “The reason he proposed to her is that he put her out of the house every other weekend since they met and she stays with him, so something must be working.”

There’s a lot about how Arenas spent his money, based on her understanding of the household finances: “he states he makes 1.5 million per month,” read the notes. Arenas lavished plenty on their Great Falls home, dropping $100,000 on landscaping, $5,000 a month for housekeepers, $675 “per car” washing, and $1 million for his backyard pool and grotto. His sharks are expensive: $5,000 a month to feed them and $1,500 for a keeper to drive from Columbus to take care of them.

He was extravagant when it came to toys for the children — ages 5, 4 and 2 — buying a $60,000 train set and an $8,000 toy Mercedes-Benz electric car, and dropping between $30,000 and $40,000 during a shopping spree at FAO Schwartz. (Arenas also told this story on the blog, but didn’t divulge the amount of money spent.)

The notes say Arenas gave Govan $8,000 a month for expenses; more than half went to pay the mortgage on a home she owns in California, and the rest went for groceries ($500-$600 a week from Peapod), doctors, classes and other expenses for the children.

Happy Friday, folks… I’d like to change the song of the day to “Can’t Let Go” in celebration of my Charlotte homey’s birthday! I LOVE ME SOME ANTHONY HAMILTON!!!!!

This is also dedicated to the groupie who won the Gilbert Arenas uterus lottery– Laura Govan. Ain’t no way I’d get engaged to a dude who kicked me out every weekend.

  4. Morning. She didn’t need a nanny. Watch your own dang kids.

PAULA DEEN SOUP RECIPE. I am SOOOO making this!

    STOCK
    1 (2 1/2 to 3-pound) fryer chicken, cut up
    3 1/2 quarts water
    1 onion, peeled and diced
    1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
    1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    4 bay leaves
    3 chicken bouillon cubes
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

    SOUP:
    2 cups sliced carrots
2 cups sliced celery, with leafy green tops
2 1/2 cups uncooked egg noodles
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
    1/3 cup cooking sherry
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
    1 cup grated Parmesan, optional
    3/4 cup heavy cream, optional
    Seasoning salt
    Freshly ground black pepper
    Crusty French bread, for serving

    DIRECTIONS:
For the stock: add all ingredients to a soup pot. Cook until chicken is tender, about 35 to 45 minutes. Remove chicken from pot and set aside to cool. Remove and discard bay leaves and onion. You should have approximately 3 quarts of stock. When chicken is cool enough to touch, pick bones clean, discarding bones, skin, and cartilage. Set chicken aside.

For the soup: bring stock back to a boil, add carrots, and cook for 3 minutes. Add celery and continue to cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Add egg noodles and cook according to directions on package. When noodles are done, add chicken, mushrooms, parsley, sherry and rosemary. Add Parmesan and cream, if using. Cook for another 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning, if needed, by adding seasoning salt and pepper. Enjoy along with a nice hot crusty loaf of French bread.

^^^That’s a CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP recipe.

(with a soda on the side)

  7. Sounds yummy. Seems like a lot of work. I’m feeling lazy in the kitchen. I think I’m going to make a huge pot of chili this weekend.

  8. Jazz – I love that song

LHM – how pitiful is it that I only like Campbell’s plain chicken noodle soup from a can? I don’t like big hunks of meat (in soup)

  9. And why did I update my status on fb this morning and my friend ‘liked’ it and then her man’s mistress commented on it. I hope no shiggety starts today. I need to think of something to change it to so I won’t feel inclined to respond.

(The mistress didn’t say anything rude, I just don’t want to respond to her)

  10. LHM, that sounds really good!

This week, I found a quick recipe for white chicken chili. It was so good, and good for me. But it was suprisingly simple to make, b/c I know there are other more complicated version of the recipe.

But your’s sounds good for the weekend…thanx!

  11. Our office is super quiet but somebody across the way has the loudest hiccups known to man… I wanna go drown her in water to make it stop. It sounds like she’s dry-heaving every 30 seconds.

  12. LawdHvMrcy says:

Osun– she also has a crockpot chicken noodle soup, too. I think I’m going to make some grill cheese sammadges, too.

Love, you are wrong on so many levels for that Campbell’s soup! LOL Progresso has a soup that is really good. I like my soup meaty and thick… just like my menz… ;-)

Pene, I don’t think I will use the cream or parmesan cheese, but will use some extra veggies and chicken to make it thick.

  13. Lovely I’m so bossy I read all the comments and tried to figure out the identity of the mistress.

  14. Viva la meaty and thick men!!!!!

  15. OJ – her intials are KH
LHM – I’ve never tried Progresso.

I like my man’s meat to be thick & hearty but I don’t want it in my soup. Something about meat in a can just makes me ill. I don’t even eat the meat in the Campbells, I put it down the garbage disposal after I eat the noodles and drink the soup.

  16. Am I going to hear about Jeff Fisher leaving the Titans all day long.

  17. My boss kinda stays out of my way in general. Why is it that when she’s NOT here, I feel like this heavy burden has been lifted off my shoulders? It’s not like she bothers me…

She’s not here today and I’m so doggone happy and carefree!

  18. Or you can used a little bit of corn starch for thickening, or a low-fact cream of chicken soup.

  19. So, we have our offering to the church sent directly to the church from our bank account. We try to increase the amount from one year to the next, which I did this year. Checked my on-line banking, and discovered that somehow, two checks were going to the church on a weekly bases: One for the old amount, and another for the new amount. It has come out to a bunch of money!

Now I know I will be blessed, but I am short quite a bit of cash now.

Then, I just received a thank you card from our Pastor thanking us for our giving. He don’t know it was a mistake that has since been corrected.

  20. Lovely, tell your co-worker to swallow a teas of sugar. That is the only way I can make my hiccys stop.

  21. crookedlettereye says:

    Morning Fam.

JB: im personally glad jeff is gone…we need some fresh new ideas and energy in that organization…we clamored to Jeff’s past accolades and accomplishments tooooooo long…

  22. Pen, ask Pastor to take up a special Love Offering for you

  23. Good Morning All!! Ok, I was hot that Greys was a rerun last nite. I can’t even remember the dayum storyline anymore, LOL

  24. Pen, she finally quit. I heard someone scream so I guess they scared her and it worked.

SB – why did my buddy down south text me last night and said “they call me ____ Supreme! A rich woman’s lover and a poor woman’s dream!”
Ol’ Otis put it on em!!

  25. crookedlettereye says:

Sheeeeiiiiiid @ Pen. lol SB woulda been on the phone soon as I seent that statement getting my cash back….aint no way….I need mines…lol

  26. crookedlettereye says:

‘see the way she bite the side of her tongue right there, there boy?!? Ole Otis got her sprung there boy. I say Ole Otis got her sprung’ lmao

  27. ‘You so fine! You’ll make a weak eyed man go blind!’

Dude, greatest show of all time!

  28. Good morning family!

  29. YLY are you baking a birthday cake today? I want some!!

  30. LawdHvMrcy says:

Thanks, Pene– I may try that. Trying to find ways to cut down calories…. (typed as I am eating BBQ chips for breakfast) LOL

Reason #982734 for watching what you type on FB. Someone I know had a status update about her disdain for people who abused public medical assistance. Um… She processed medical claims for a living. Someone on her job saw her status and reported her. When it was brought to her attention, her subsequent statuses included rants against the ‘hater’ who reported her.

*sigh* When will we learn, people?

  31. What’s the word: Matthew 24:36 no man knows the day…Let’s see Genesis 1:5 the light is called day. Now no man knows the light 2nd Corinthians 2:14 spirtually discerned. When you see the word day written, it means light. The thief in the night John 10:10 = Matthew 24:50 The Lord of that servant shall come in a day ( light ) when he looketh not for him, and a hour (time) that he is not aware of, ( 2nd Corinthians 11:14) the angel of light becomes a righteous branch * Jeremiah 23:5-6 * Zechariah 6:12-13. The church is at Babylon 1st Peter 5:13 * Jeremiah 29:4-8. Where there is peace and safety 1st Thess. 5:3 * Psalm 35:27.

  32. @_o

  33. No cake Lovely.. I made a chocolate cake Sunday and ate the last piece yesterday and I’m the ONLY one that was eating it. No more cake.

  34. He come on a honda…

  35. @_@

  36. crookedlettereye says:

    ^–v–^–v–^–v———————- *dead* x_x

  37. LHM – I post about my co-workers but I tell them ahead of time that I’m about to complain about them. :-) Also, everyone from this office is blocked from my page. I do try to watch what I say though.

YLY – now I don’t feel so bad about that dozen cupcakes I ate a few weeks ago all by myself. I ate the last three ‘just to get rid of them so they wouldn’t be in my face anymore’.

  38. I don’t let my co-workers on my page. Everytime I meet a new co-worker, I search FB and then block em! I dont need my co-workers in my personal life…common snitches

  39. crookedlettereye says:

#random EUR be killing me adding more stories to this site…when they cant make the current stories run right…I’m talking everytime I click elsewhere on here I’m kicked out…smh

  40. Me too! I think they need to take down all those excess add-ons that dom’t let you scroll until they slowly populate the screen.

  41. Lovely…that’s why I ate the last piece of cake. #fatpeoplelogic

  42. Pen – I do the same thing. One day I checked the ‘social’ chick’s page and blocked all the co-workers she had. Now every time there’s someone new, I proactively block them as soon as I learn their name.
Hell, my own sister is blocked from my page. I don’t answer her “Can you send me $100″ texts so I know facebook would be her next option. I can see her psycho butt now… tagging me in “My only sister, Lovely, treats me like a red head step child. Can somebody make her give me some money?”

  43. YLY – CTFU @ #fatpeoplelogic
me and my girl call it our “fat people tendencies”

Example – I ate yesterday afternoon around 4 and then I was sitting there at 7 and said ‘hmm, it’s dinner time… that stuff I ate earler was really a late lunch’ and I called my friend and we went out and ordered a bunch of mexican food and a bunch of margaritas and ate even though neither of us was hungry!!

  44. Lovely, I thought it was just me. I am friends with one co-worker, but she and I are personal friends as well. However, I see that she is friends with several other co-workers, and every time I see a new name on her page, I block them. However, I am seriouslly considering blocking the friend, b/c I think there have been times where info has been disclosed that I think is inappropriate…like they don;t know who we work for?! So …brb…I just made my decision to block her!

  45. Block em all! :-)

  46. Good Afternoon all. FB sounds like too much work! Email is too much work, IM is too much work. That’s just me!

  47. HersheysKiss says:

Hey Happy People and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
    Question for LoveTrain:
How in the world did you end up FB friends with a another friend’s mistress? AND how in the world do you remain out of drama with that lil piece of information.

  48. HK – we’re all friends, we all grew up together. Friend A was dating Dude and Friend B was supposedly just cool with both of them. Come to find out, Friend B has been a lot more cool with Dude than Friend A knew.
    The story is still developing…

  49. Oh, and I stay out of the drama because we’re not ‘super’ tight like that. I see these people maybe once a year (and maybe once a week on facebook).

  50. HersheysKiss says:

LoveTrain–Oh ok….I thought it was part of the BFF crew. Oh well. Hope it works out for A, B & D(dyk). Go nuts!

  51. Aw heck naw! :-)
Only 1.5 of the BFF’s is on facebook.
One has the same first name I have and the .5 has an account but only checks it once every few weeks. If there were drama with either of them, I’d have to shut it down :-)
With these folks though I just mind my business.

  52. Did the snow make it to your part of the country? I know my cousins in DC & Philly are having a fit that there has been so much snow lately.

  53. *and “.5″ seems cruel but she has 4 kids and doesn’t really get to hang out with us so she’s in the circle but she’s ‘not’ in the circle (if that makes sense).

  54. HersheysKiss says:

LOL sure I’ll make it make sense. Yes! We got plenty of snow. Since 1/1/11 we’ve exceeded 50in of snow. Some places received exceeded 62in of snow!! That is NUTZ!! And it’s only January. :x But hey…I’m glad to be among the living so I’ll take it exactly the way it comes. It’s a heck o’ lot better than being dead. Ya feel?? ;-) Ok…the Wayan’s magically delicious picture from last wee is beneath the comment box. *sigh* I just can’t!

  55. You’re right about being alive! :-) I always feel more alive in winter than I do in summer. Heat drains me and makes me feel like I’m knocking on death’s door.

I don’t see Magically Delicious SW1 down there, I see the man with the voice (who’s back on that werk).

  56. Good Late Afternoon Everyone!

Lovely, in the previews for next week’s Grey’s, Callie tells Mark about the baby.

  57. HersheysKiss says:

LoveTrain I KNOW you can appreciate this comment cuz it sounds similar to something one of us would write. More than likely Crooked Brother or MWM.
There was a story about a woman being assaulted by 2 men w/ a live snake, on EUR. Now reading the story I totally gave it a twist mouth and  But the comment that followed it is HILARIOUS!!

    KaoticThought says:
    January 6, 2011 at 11:48 am
Not condoning the actions by a long shot, and am in agreement that IF it did go down that way, then those two need to be repeatedly butt F***ed with pissed off rattlesnakes… However, I would be remiss to say that I am blindly believing the whole story as fact. Don’t get me wrong… I am not trying to convict a victim here, and I was riding shotgun with her… right up until the point where I read this part “consumed intoxicants”

Ok… So you are over a dudes house, that your “friend” took you too, and you were “dancing” with a “small” group…Hmmmm…And you passed out feeling like somebody hit you in the head..Really?? I refer back to “consumed intoxicants”

So she woke up to one guy basically hitting it from the back, while the other was holding her.. (I know Rick James said cocaine is a hellava drug, but no kicking, screaming for the friend that brought you over??)… Oh but wait… Now one guy is holding you, while the other one is grabbing a snake!?!? (The second I heard “I’m going to get the SNAKE”..I would have morphed into the Grinch..with the strength of 10 Whoos) Again..no screaming for help??? Closing your legs, kicking this dude in the teeth or nothing…Dude was able to penetrate her with a LIVE SNAKE!?!?!?!

So yeah I am being cynical, maybe even heartless.. But only because of the crazy ass shyt people do now days, then come back and scream foul play. I just hope this is another case of “when keeping it real STUPID goes wrongs”… If it really is a case of rape, set their asses on fire in a stack of tires… If it comes out to be a bad idea while f***ed up on “intoxicants”… Then they all need their asses beat for being stupid and nasty as hell at the same time.

  58. Jacque – ohhhhhhhhhhhh snap! I forgot about the baby!! I can’t wait!!

HK – oh my word!! I’m gonna have to agree with the commentor! You can’t just screw me with a snake… that ain’t happenin’ captain!
