*Hollywood, CA. – Organizers are gearing up for another stellar event. The 33rd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival presented in co-operation with the L. A. Philharmonic Association was announced on February 10, 2011.
The announcement was made at a Press Conference held on the East Lawn of the Playboy Mansion.
The LAUSD All City High School Band under the direction of Tony White and JB Dyas provided entertainment to the invited guest. The talented students from various schools performed “Tenor Madness,” “Song For My Father,” and “Blue Bossa,” with special guest saxophonist Keschia Potter.
The invitation only event featured special guest and master of ceremonies Bill Cosby, featured artists, VIP’s, television, radio, print and internet journalists to celebrate one of the jazz world’s premier events.
Darlene Chan, and FestivalWest Inc., Producer, Playboy Jazz Festival along with Bill Cosby announced the line-up for the 33rd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival. This year’s line-up once again features multiple genres of music that will satisfy the musical taste of all in attendance. This landmark event continues it’s rich tradition of featuring the biggest names in jazz, along with future jazz headliners delivering an exciting mix of everything from standards and blues to Latin beats and world fusion. There is also a link to the Ticketmaster webiste on the Playboy Jazz Festival website.
Tickets may also be purchased at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office beginning May 7th.
Ticket Policy: All patrons, including children, must have a ticket for admittance inside the theater.

Special Message to All Play Jazz Patrons: For safety and fire regulations, the aisles and walkways of the Hollywood Bowl must be kept clear at all times. Therefore, all large containers or coolers measuring more than 15″ wide, 15″ high and 22″ long and kegs, pony kegs and party balls of beer will not be permitted past the ticket gate.
Non Smoking Policy: The Hollywood Bowl has a no smoking policy inside the theater. Smoking will be permitted only outside the theater seating area on the Bowl grounds.
