*After getting married and giving birth to her first child, Alicia Keys is getting ready to release her fifth studio album. The most recent single released was the song “Speechless’ produced by none other than her lover and husband Swizz Beatz.
Longtime producer and friend Kerry “Krucial” Brothers shared that she is currently recording new material and should be ready to wow her fans some time this year.
“We do got a release coming this year, but I can’t speak on it yet,” he said, declining to give any specifics. “Last week we was in the studio working on stuff,” he continued, explaining how the process was different this time around. “The writing is the same. The only thing changed is the schedule. We leave earlier now. No more to-the-crack-of-dawn stuff — at least not for now.”
Every and I do mean Every time the new hubby or bf starts producing your music, the album tanks. I want to be proven wrong but we will see, I am not sure how swiss can create music that caters to Alicia’s fan base. But I don’t know everything
Swizz has already produced tracks for Alicia in the past….so it isn’t like he is unfamiliar with her work and what her audience likes. He produced the duet that Alicia did with Beyonce and also “Million Dollar Bill” for Whitney, written by Alicia and produced by Alicia and Swizz.
Yes but that duet with Beyonce wasn’t well recieved by her fans in fact many of them stated it wasn’t what they expected. Million Dollar Bill is tight though, I will just wait and see but let’s not forget,Jermaine and Janet, Toni Braxton and that Guy…the list goes on and on.
GOOD!! this is nice to hear that Alicia is working on another CD. i usually like Alicia’s work but with this last project I only enjoyed a couple of tracks so we shall see what she comes up with this time around.
