About The Steve Harvey Foundation & Mentoring Weekend The mission of the Steve Harvey Foundation is to share, teach and demonstrate the principles of manhood to young men, enabling them to achieve their dreams and become productive men who are balanced emotionally, politically and economically. Hosting the inaugural Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men during Father’s Day Weekend in 2009, Harvey brought 100 teenage boys and their guardians from around the country to his ranch in Dallas. In addition to the annual Father’s Day Weekend in Dallas, the program’s success has inspired Harvey to expand his mission nationwide and create satellite mentoring programs in additional cities including New Orleans. In 2011, in addition to Los Angeles and Dallas, Harvey will also host the Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend in New Orleans, Chicago and New York.
