*Nearly 50 years after he first took the Apollo Theater stage as a 12-year-old music prodigy, the Harlem venue has announced that Stevie Wonder will be inducted into its Hall of Fame during a ceremony scheduled for June 13.

The gala will include a concert and awards ceremony, according to NPR.

Wonder has recorded more than 30 top ten singles in the U.S., and won 22 Grammy Awards, a record for a solo artist. In addition to being a member of both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, he has sold over 100 million records worldwide and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” which was featured in the 1984 film, “The Woman in Red.”

Past Apollo Hall of Fame inductees include Michael Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin.
