*Chris Rock’s Broadway show grounded to a halt on Thursday night (March 17) when his co-star Annabella Sciorra forgot her lines onstage.

Both Rock and Sciorra, whose last memorable role was as Tony Soprano’s girlfriend on “The Sopranos,” are both making their Broadway debut in Stephen Adly Guirgis’ new play The Motherf**ker With the Hat.

During Thursday’s preview performance at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, Sciorra forgot her words and had to ask a production assistant to give her the line.

Sciorra went on with the play, and the cast ended up getting a standing ovation, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro directs the show, which opens officially on April 11.

As previously reported, Rock plays the AA sponsor of a recently paroled alcoholic (Bobby Cannavale) who is struggling to remain sober while maintaining the relationship with his long-time girlfriend (Elizabeth Rodriguez). When the unseen title character, a ladies man, leaves his hat behind, havoc ensues as relationships are tested and moral ambiguities come to light.

Below, Chris Rock talks about the production.
