*In Dallas, former Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks star Mark Aguirre was hospitalized earlier this week after falling ill at an athletic club in Dallas.
However, reports that he had an apparent heart attack were not true, according to former Dallas Mavericks general manager Frank Zaccanelli.
Aguirre apparently had a circulation problem while he was working out on a treadmill, according to Zaccanelli, who remains a close friend of Aguirre, reports the Detroit Free Press.
“There was no heart attack,” Zaccanelli said. “What it was, it was a clogged vessel – not artery, vessel – and while he was working out, it just caused him to black out. There was no cardiac arrest, there was nothing. He fell.”
