*There was court ordered mediation scheduled in the Bishop Eddie Long case, but the time, place and details of the settlement talks were kept top secret, until now.
Reporters have uncovered when the talks took place and learned about the explosive interaction between Bishop Long and the four young men suing him for sexual misconduct.
Three weeks ago, in the early morning hours a black Lincoln Town car with the engine running, sat in front of Bishop Eddie Long’s house.
Not long after, Bishop Long arrived at a top secret location for the first of back-to-back mediation talks.
Those talks turned to an angry face-to-face confrontation.
Last September, Bishop Eddie Long told his congregation that he was going to battle allegations of sexual misconduct. That public fight is now embroiled in private settlement talks.
The I-Team (Fox Atlanta) was first to tell you how Jamal Parris and three other young men filed suit against Bishop Long and his 10,000-seat New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The lawsuits claim that the bishop lavished money, trips and gifts on the young adults while having sexual contact with them.

We should always show kindness, love and respect towards Bishop Long. We should keep everyone involved in this case lifted up in prayer. Bishop Long is a very loving, anointed, compassionate, powerful man of God who inspires millions of people with the Love of God around the world. We also must remember that Bishop Long is human. We all have light and dark sides of ourselves; pastors, members of the clergy and other leaders are no different. All of us have been guilty of making mistakes in life. We should consider ourselves fortunate that our mistakes are not subject to intense judgment, condemnation and media scrutiny. We are all on a journey to become the pure reflection of God. 1John5: “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” My prayer is that Bishop Long and the four men involved in this case will receive the love, forgiveness and healing needed so they can all move forward with their lives and bring peace and healing to this world. Psalm 18:43 “You have delivered me from the attacks of the people, you have made me the head of nations..”Psalm 98: “The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.” 1John4:16 “God is Love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in him. There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
If you look at how his church is run in particular; After he became Bishop/Pastor, the articles change to indicate that church being run as a business. I have to get the link I have but that is unfortunate. No doubt we should pray for him and everyone else involve. But unfortunately in this situation, humility is lacking. No way I will listen to a guy who preaches god’s powerful Word in muscle shirts. How is the humble? No, I am not judging, but I have discern. I as a Believer can do that. The blood is on his hands if he leads the sheep astray. His punishment would be 10 times greater because of the anointing he has. I disagree he has affected millions. Who is he, JEsus Christ? I think not. He has to realize that. Do these secret backdoor deals so your name won’t be tarnished is unfortunate. He could have just stepped down until all things worked itself out if he is not guilty. But a blind man can see some guilt is there. He says he categorically denied the allegations. Which means he did something, but it’s not everything listed. Broken down by category. So take it for what its worth. We all have to answer to God in the end.
