The Asomugha Foundation, which provides a positive impact on the disadvantaged youth in the U.S. and the underprivileged orphans and widows in Africa through education and empowerment, will host their fifth annual fundraising gala Saturday, March 19, 2011.

Legendary Civil Rights Leader Reverend Cecil Murray of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

The gala will include a live and silent auction, in which guests can bid on authentic West African artwork including carvings and jewelry, and autographed sports memorabilia from NFL and NBA stars.

All money raised will benefit the Asomugha Foundation.

4X NFL Pro Bowl cornerback and Los Angeles native Nnamdi Asomugha will be joined by the president of the Asomugha Foundation  Dr. Lillian Asomugha, PD, DNM and Asomugha Foundation Board Members; Keynote speaker, legendary civil rights leader Reverend Cecil Murray; 2014 Olympic  hopeful Seun Adebiyi, J.D; and Oral Lee Brown, of the Oral Lee Brown Foundation.
