Albert Haynesworth Indicted on Sexual Abuse Charge

*Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been indicted on a misdemeanor charge of sexual abuse, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Haynesworth was charged in connection to a February 2010 incident at the W Hotel in DC, in which a waitress accused the troubled NFL player of inappropriately touching her breast.  According to authorities, Haynesworth slid a credit card down the front of his server’s dress and fondled her breast.

According to the police report, the waitress’ hands were full of dishes when Haynesworth wanted to pay his bill, and he asked if he could put his credit card in her blouse near her breast area. She nodded yes and he placed the card in her blouse, sliding his hand further into the left side of her blouse and then caressed her breast, according to the report.

Haynesworth’s attorney released this statement back in February:

“There seems to be no truth to these allegations and we are currently evaluating the facts and considering our own legal actions against those involved.”
