*It’s getting closer and closer, the final Oprah show. And what will she do is still unknown. But some news has emerged.

According to the Internet rumor mill, she’ll be taping a two-part episode May 17th at the United Center and will show in late May. The show will also consist of a “homage to the Queen of TV and her 25 year career.”

According to insiders, the first hour will be hosted by Tom Hanks and the second by Will Smith. Other stars will make their appearances as well, including Oprah favorites Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, and Tyler Perry.

Musical guests supposedly will include Jay-Z and Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Patti LaBelle, and Rihanna.

Meanwhile, on the political side of things, after publicly supporting Barack Obama in 2008, it looks like the reverse for the 2012. According to PopEater’s Rob Shuter, her support will be much more private in the coming election.

“For 2012, much has changed for Oprah. She now has own cable channel called OWN that has been struggling to find an audience — she isn’t going to do anything to alienate them,” a TV insider tells me. “Unlike in 2008, when a drop in ratings didn’t matter as much for the queen of TV, Oprah is now fighting every day to get people to tune into OWN.”

So, it boils down to this, if Shuter’s source is correct, Oprah’s got her OWN problems to deal with which means Obama will be on his  … own.
