Obama Ready to Propose His Deficit-Reduction Plan

*He may have sat on the sidelines during the budget debate, but President Obama will enter the fray Wednesday by setting targets for deficit reduction-and coming out in favor of cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.

Obama will not offer a specific plan but wants any solution to include tax hikes for the rich and cuts to defense spending.

The Wall Street Journal says Obama’s proposal “caught Democrats in Congress off guard.”

I’m sure he’ll give away the entire candy store.

In the name of compromise that is.

    • Yep, he’ll give away more than that if they let him. Remember how he VOLUNTEERED to extend the tax cuts even AFTER Boehner had already conceded! lol

He will continue to play the game they designed–the one in which they get to highjack Bush’s economic crises and turn it into a war on “entitlements” even though all he had to do–what he was elected to do actually–is reverse everything Bush did, ie roll back the tax cuts and end the wars. That’s what this latest financial crisis was borne out of, but nooo he will “only” cut a little Medicare here, Medicaid there, SS there, and claim “victory.”
