*It’s the end of the road for legendary singer Patti Labelle and her longtime manager Damascene Pierre Paul.
The two have decided to part amicably after more than ten years in partnership.
“Working with an artist as talented as Patti Labelle has been a tremendous experience for me,” said Pierre Paul in a statement released Tuesday. “I thank her for the opportunity, and I look forward to the continued expansion of my management company Dom Dada”
Labelle stated, “I wish Damascene success in his new venture.”
Pierre Paul began managing Patti LaBelle’s career in 1999, overseeing her music endeavors, clothing line; and providing creative support for her books, “Light Cuisine” and “Patti’s Pearls.” He co-produced LaBelle’s albums “When A Women Loves” (2000), “Timeless Journey” (2004), Classic Moments” (2005) and “Miss Patti’s Christmas” (2007).
