*A rep for Prince has confirmed the singer has avoided foreclosure on his Minnesota estate by paying off his mortgage bill in full, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The artist owns 20 acres of land in Chanhassen, Minnesota, where one of his many homes once stood before it was torn down in 2005.
The property reportedly fell into foreclosure after he allegedly failed to keep up with mortgage payments and the local Carver County Sheriff’s Office scheduled an auction to sell it off to pay the alleged $368,000 mortgage bill, according to the Star Tribune.
A foreclosure notice is said to have been posted in a local newspaper. But a rep for Prince says steps have been taken to resolve the situation, telling the Star Tribune a “payment has been made” to the bank for the full amount “about four or five days ago.”

I’m sure he had that much in his couch!! silly m-f, just like the rest of them (except Toni) got the money just don’t wanna do right.
there’s nothing that I or Mothership typed that should be “hidden-to-low-comment-rating”..youre obvious Prince “devotees”
Hell, he can afford to feel like payin’ it when he get ready to pay it. WTF? Just because somebody say or set a standard ya ass gotta fall in step? That’s our problem now.
I see the sheep out in full effect today. Keep following and get lead right to hell. LMFAO!! Prince just gave over a million dollars in one day to charities, you know he can afford to pay his mortgage. He’ll just do it on his terms and when the hell he feel like it. We don’t bend easily to somebody sayin’ jump and we sayin’ how high, ain’t gonna happen. Go, Gemini.
- Are you serious?
If the man signed a contract, the man needs to honor the contract and it’s terms. But this has been a long-term problem with Prince. So if you want to talk about people being sheep…look and the mirror and go “Baaaaaaa”, because you’re the one here saying that the man can do what he pleases, regardless of a legally-binding contract. If we kept following YOU, we’d be in the poorhouse or jail.
I’m surprised Paisly Park ain’t paid off yet – must have been some mortgage after 25 years……
