*Just after Soulja Boy released his mixtape, “Juice,” he announced that he will be playing the role of legendary West Coast rapper Tupac in an upcoming biopic.
He specifically spoke about becoming “Bishop.”
“Basically, it’s your boy Soulja and I’m Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man. You know how the movie goes, but we’re flipping it and shooting in Atlanta. I want to show these people my acting side and me being creative—always giving them something new; that’s all. I got same video director that shot ‘Crank That,’ ‘Kiss Me Through The Phone,’ ‘Turn My Swag On’ —my most successful videos. The whole mixtape is the soundtrack for the movie.”
Filming will begin “soon.”

WTF is Juice being remade?! Who is the fool or fools that thought this was a good f’ing idea. For real people?! Someone really thinks that movie needs to be remade. You may think that the original was not good, but I think for what it was worth & for the audience it was made for many would disagree with you. In fact if you look at a list of urban classic movies Juice will probably be in the top 15 or 20. With that said, I have no problem with remaking the film, but get someone who is not known for being a corny lil wack-ass rapper to play the role of Bishop. There’s nothin’ gangsta about Souljah Bitch, I mean Souljah Boy.

Actually, “Juice” was a good movie and showed off the acting chops of some talented folks like Omar Epps and Tupac. Imo as far as the genre goes, that movie is at the top.
That said, I don’t understand why it needs to be remade, and especially why (if I’m reading this article correctly), this Soulja Boy person has taken it upon himself to remake it, lol, and deem himself Bishop in the process! lol Just stop. Seriously.
I agree. Somethings are better left alone…..especially when either the lead actor(s) are not nearly as good or credible as the original actor(s).
“Juice” was Tupac’s first real role and many didn’t think he could pull it off before then. So I will try to stay positive even though the odds are against Soulja Boy.

This is going to be the worst remake for 2 reasons: #1, Juice is a classic and shouldn’t be remade, and #2, Soulja Idiot playing Bishop is just plain…well DUMB!!!

First of all “Juice” was a really good movie for it’s time, 2nd of WHY THE HELL and what idiot thought Soulja Boy could ever be Bishop? Tupac made that movie, he created alot of his own scenes. 1st of all Soulja boy is a ringtone rapper, he does nothing for the music industry. He can not rap well its not rap when you keep repeating yourself. Tupac is a highly respected individual. He is not only a good rapper, actor, poetry writter. He has alot of respect and he will definitely let you know and not say sorry for your disrespect. Tupac is awesome and was the best actor in the movie “Juice” Soulja boy could never be Bishop or even close to Tupac……… When I heard that they are remaking the movie “Juice” and I would of never guessed that Soulja Boy would be playing Tupac……..
