*Rihanna made an appearance on “American Idol” last night to perform her latest single “California King Bed” and to chat with host Ryan Seacrest about a new twist added to the American leg of her “Loud” tour.
The singer said her stateside shows – rumored to be struggling in ticket sales – will include seating for fans on either side of the actual stage. “Very VIP,” she called it.
Before her “Idol” appearance, Rihanna visited Seacrest’s Los Angeles-based radio show for a more personal interview, revealing that she feels men are intimidated by her success.
“Not to sound crazy, but yes,” she said. “And I think that’s very difficult because it’s a lot for them to handle, especially being in the public eye. It can be difficult. It can be tricky.”
The singer did assert that she is hopeful of finding love soon, adding: “There’s gonna be someone who is not intimidated or not afraid to put me in my place.”
It was recently announced that Rihanna gained the most nominations at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
