WELCH describes THE DIVORCE as “Sex In The City” meets “Waiting To Exhale”.  Successful L.A. News Anchor “Yolanda Massey” (Dawnn Lewis) is celebrating her freedom by hosting her own divorce party. Her closest “sister-friends” and Sorors, led by the hilarious “Eva Owens” (Vanessa Bell Calloway) have agreed to come along for the ride. What starts out as an innocent night of “friends”, “fun”, and “frolic”, quickly turns into an evening of “unforeseen revelations”, “heartache”, “pain”, and ultimately “LOSS”.

“Buried secrets are like uncovered grave plots, just an open hole waiting for its next victim! If you think this play is just about divorce, you are in for a rude awakening!” – Don B. Welch

“Get a real account of life lessons from these eight successful fictitious characters who have lived it, and the ones who are living it. See how women deal with “aging”, “divorce”, “children”, “the change of life”, “love” and “death”.
