*Jackson, MS — The Mississippi Historical Roots in Blues Foundation proudly announces the line-up for The Mississippi Roots in Blues Festival Saturday, May 28. The streets of Downtown Jackson will be ablaze with Down Home Blues Entertainment.

The Mississippi Historical Roots in Blues Foundation, a non-profit organization, is designed to assist with educational programs, promoting entertainment and special events for the support and recognition of Roots in Blues.

This will be an exciting and entertaining day with performances by blues great, Mr. Bobby Rush; from the heart of the Delta, James “Super Chickan” Johnson, Pat Brown, Grady Champion, Blues legend from Chicago, Bobby “Slim” James, Blues Man McKinley, Dexter Allen, Brian Sivils, The House of Cards, Eddie Taylor and The Gospel Shinning Stars.

Come out and enjoy the beauty of downtown, Jackson.  Vendors will provide great food; arts and crafts will also be available.

The festival goes from noon-until. Admission is only 20.00. The entertainment will start on Commerce Street across from Hal & Mal’s restaurant.
