*Although we still don’t know when Dr. Dre is going to release that very long and anticipated album “Detox,” some good news for the producer emerged recently when the lawsuit against him was dismissed.

According to reports, several Michigan officers and city councilman, Gary Brown, filed a suit against him and Eminem for recording and releasing a confrontation the boys in blue were involved in backstage at a show held in the Joe Louis arena.

The exchange was videotaped and showcased on a DVD that also highlighted the “Up in Smoke” tour.

Records say Brown warned organizers that he’d shut the event down if a sexually explicit video were to be shown. In the lawsuit, the statesman contended that his privacy was violated with the taping.

Dre’s lawyer, Herschel Fink, unveiled that the court only dealt with the event instead of the privacy issues.
