Gayle King Hosting ‘Oprah Finale After Party’

*The morning after the most anticipated finale in daytime history, Gayle King will host “The Gayle King Show: Oprah Finale After Party,” a special send-off celebration live from Harpo Studios in Chicago on Thursday, May 26 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and the Oprah Radio channel on SiriusXM Radio.

King will welcome celebrity super fans and key players of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the penultimate taping at the United Center in Chicago. This event marks the first time “The Gayle King Show” has done a live television telecast outside its New York City studio since its debut on January 10, 2011.

Throughout the special, Gayle King will welcome celebrities including Hugh Jackman, Diane Sawyer, Rita Wilson and Nate Berkus along with super viewers via Skype to share their favorite moments from the past 25 years and how they commemorated the special finale event.

King will also be joined in studio by Oprah Winfrey’s long-time partner Stedman Graham and the presidents of Harpo Studios, Sheri Salata and Erik Logan. Salata, who is also the executive producer of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and senior audience producer Sally Lou Loveman will share personal anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

“The Gayle King Show: Oprah Finale After Party” will re-air in primetime later that evening from 9:00-11 p.m. ET/PT.

      Agree. Good old dependable Gayle is trying to get some ratings for her show by hosting this after party.

  3. I’m glad she’s getting the send off she deserves. Hell, white shows get big wrap ups. Oprah deserves that and then some.

    I just hope on OWN that Oprah hires more blacks in producer roles and gives them shows on the network. Seems the only black person she seems interested in elevating is Gayle. That’s always been my pet peeve with Oprah. But, she did make history and leaves a lasting legacy.
