Iceberg Slim’s 1969 Novel Back Thanks to Cash Money

   

*Cash Money Records’ newly founded publishing arm, Cash Money Content recently acquired a collection of Iceberg Slim’s novels and has announced the re-release of his scandalous 1969 novel “Pimp: The Story of My Life.”

On May 10, book readers and drama fans will embark on a classic journey of the revolutionary crime heavy story and revisit the past of a pimp.

In its original publishing year, the autobiographical story sold 2.5 million copies, making the Slim one of the best-selling Black writers of his time. It was also translated into seven languages.

    The pimp mentality and effeminate style of dressing is partially responsible for the role reversals in the Black community IMO. This is one project that should never see the light of day!
