Jill Scott’s Album Pushed Up a Week Sooner!

*Woo hoo! It’s almost here!

Jill Scott’s next album, “The Light of the Sun” is set to debut on June 21, which is a week sooner than expected.

And as a preview, she’ll be performing on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno on June 17 and later on “Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel’s” outdoor concert June 23, and then on “Live! With Regis & Kelly” on June 30.

The iconic singer/actress has risen to the top with her hit single, “So In Love” featuring Anthony Hamilton and it continues to have great success.

Jill Scott is just being taken up in a whirlwind of fanfare with her recent appearance at the White House for the American Poetry Workshop alongside Common. She also is featured on the cover of EBONY Magazine’s June Music issue.

Personally, I didn’t like the last album. I only like, “Hate on Me.” I am hoping that this album is much better and much more well rouned.

    Love this first single!

  3. I love me some Anthony Hamilton.

  4. The Duet single has a nice 70′s Philly groove to it. Good job.

  5. btooklynbabe…I’m with you. I didn’t like her last album at all —didn’t buy it. Hated her second album. I sold that sucka on Amazon.

I’m hoping this album is better than those previous two. Although, it’ll be tough to live up to her debut. I don’t like any of the lead singles though. However, I love the joint ‘Rolling Hills. Now, that’s jam. Found the audio of it on YouTube and played the song all night long. Based on that song alone, I’m excited about this album.

Yeah MzTee, I’m with you too. I truly only liked her first album. After that it was like one single each on the next ones.

Save all that freakiness for behind closed doors. I don’t want to hear about it for damn near a whole damn album.

Both she and Erykah Badu seriously let me down after their first releases. And, Erykah is another story entirely. LOL
