*Current Miami mayoral candidate and former rapper Luther Campbell is all over the place now and is taking on Florida International University, calling it racist.
He said he was appalled by the “Cuban-only forum” held at the school last week.
“The university is having a Cuban-only forum, which is wrong to the students, because the students are from all different races and all different cultures and all the students don’t speak only Spanish,” Uncle Luke said.
The event was in fact a Spanish-language debate.
But he wasn’t alone in this complaint. His opponent and fellow Black candidate Roosevelt Bradley also says the it was an act of racial terrorism.
At this point, the Miami race for mayor appears to be a two man battle between Julio Robaina and Carlos Gimenez. The two are polling at 25 and 20 percent among voters, respectively.
However, Campbell is not out it; he has polled quite well: Of the 499 likely voters polled by The Miami Herald and Univision, Campbell was selected by 10 percent of the group.
The election will be held May 24.
I assume that FL International U is a private school, but I somewhat agree with Luke

Two things here in Cali,for the governor’s race won by Jerry Brown, I seem to remember them having a spanish language only debate,on Univision and I dont think any of the candidates were Spanish,the two majors ones Brown and that woman weren’t.So Luke ,you should have thought to have someone translate for you, the questions and your answers,there is more than one way to skin a cat.In the future if you want to run for mayor in that city,you may want to invest in learning the language,because thats how the new reality is ,love it or hate it.
