Mashonda Says Good-bye to ‘Love & Hip Hop’

*After season one of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop,” Mashonda said she won’t be coming back for season two. She said the show has too many negatives to convince her of another few months of drama.

She actually vented on how frustrated she is with the show, explaining that she thought the show would be a platform of empowerment for herself and her sisters in the industry.

She said she thought her public struggles with divorce could inspire other women.

“I really honestly did do the show to help Emily (Emily B, Fabolous’ baby momma) and help women across the United States, to let them know that you’re not the only one that can go through something like this {divorce and heartbreak}.”

She continued …

“No matter what I say, it’s going to be judged at the hundredth power, people are just going to look at me and judge. People are going to say I’m too emotional, or I need to get over it, or I need to move on, I’m bitter. A lot of people were actually saying (I) was strong, (I) made it out classy, (I) did everything (I) could, but when you do a show, you have to know what’s coming next, a world full of judgment.”

By the time she saw the finished product called the show, she just wasn’t happy, saying the show really didn’t represent her life.

“I just don’t feel like at this point in my life, ‘Love and Hip Hop’ represents who I am, it’s just a chapter that is over.  When I shot the show, I thought that it was going to be like more of a sisterhood, but when I saw a lot of the drama and the beef, I was a little surprised, I was like wow, okay, I didn’t know this was going to be apart of what this is.”

    • NYCsoul says:

Exactly! She needs to stop lyin. She knew she did it for the attention and money and now she’s looking like a fool, she don’t want to do it anymore. People divorce every damn day. They can read a book or get a therapist to help them out with their issues.

  2. Did she really think the show would focus only on her and her trying to get over Swizzbeats giving her the boot? Don’t nobody want to hear her “whoa is me” stories about Swizz leaving her for Alicia. She really does need to build a bridge and get over it…MOVE ON!

  3. NayNay22 says:

The question isn’t if Mashonda is coming back. The question is why did the show get cleared for a 2nd season?

  4. Taurusingr says:

She “thought” SHE would be the main focus!, plain and simple! Don t nobody NOwhere, think ANY “reality show” is …..respectable! FOH!
