*If you’re among the growing legion of fans of Obama kool-Aid drinker Ed Shultz, the MSNBC newscaster (weeknights at 10pm), you may be wondering why he hasn’t been on the air the last few days.

Well it seems the host of “The Ed Show” was suspended because he called conservative radio talk show host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut!”

Shultz blasted Ingraham after she criticized President Obama for visiting Ireland while Americans in Missouri were being killed and left homeless by the devastating tornado strike.

If you missed his on-air rant, here’s what he said:

“President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday, but you know what [Republicans are] talking about, like this right-wing slut, what’s her name? Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas. But now that Obama’s doing it, they’re working him over.”

Now Ed that was funny as hell, but it wasn’t nice, even though a lot of folks are glad you said it.

And because of his outburst, instead of being given a raise, Shultz was suspended by MSNBC. After which, he released a statement to apologize to Laura, saying:

“I am deeply sorry, and I apologize. It was wrong, uncalled for, and I recognize the severity of what I said. I apologize to you, Laura, and ask for your forgiveness.”

If you’re wondering, Shultz should be back on the air June 6, according to reports.
