*Daytime diva Wendy Williams got a little personal and quite emotional on her show the other day when she spoke of Whitney Houston’s recent rehab check-in. She mentioned that the rehab could be a way of clearance to participate in the “Waiting to Exhale” sequel.
While speaking, Wendy reminisced about her drug past, which brought up some tears.
“Have you ever tried drugs?,” she asked her viewer-co-host. “Well I have. It’s been many years, I can laugh about it now, too. It’s the stupidest thing I ever did in my life, you know, but I am familiar with every form of cocaine including crack and that whole bit. And I have to tell you, when I saw this picture right here, show that other picture of Whitney.
“[Begins crying] I remember that girl, sweaty, hair in the face, grown…I remember that girl very well, [points to herself] I wrote the book and everything. I can own up to my mistakes. Whitney, you need more than outpatient, and furthermore, I’m going to tell you right now because I’ve said it before: I don’t believe that you were sober on ‘Oprah,’ I don’t believe that you went into rehab voluntarily this time[...]On ‘Inside Edition’ they said that Whitney just signed on for ‘Waiting to Exhale 2.’ Well you know what happens with these Hollywood people, you have to be insurable and bankable. Nobody’s insuring [points to photo] this. So clean it up!”

I did not know Wendy had a problem with drugs in the past. Good for her she is clean and sober. She is really trying to become the nest Oprah so to speak she is always revealing some thing about her life and her family etc. IMO there will be only one Oprah.
I felt the same about her Oprah appearance. Whitney’s eyes lit up when explaining the difference in lacing cocaine on a joint. She got waaaaaaay too excited to explain it to Oprah. Sometimes the journey to sobriety is a long road, but you’ve gotta keep walking.
OMG, the public can fall for anything. Wendy Williams’ tears were as fake as her hair and tits!!!! This woman is obsessed with Whitney. She should be thanking Whitney to this day for cussing her out on the radio back in the day because that is what gave her national attention. Just because she was on drugs doesn’t make her an expert on the next person who have substance abuse problems. She is such a drama queen. For exmaple, Matthrew Perry has checked back in rehab to continue his recovery lets see if the media treats him the same way they are treating Whitney. I highly doubt it!!!
to music101. Fake tears or real tears. It don’t matter Whitney should be getting help immediately. That’s the reason why Bobbi Kristina is putting her through the same thing she put Cissy through. She should’ve never gotten involved with Bobby Brown. All of this to prove back then that she was down with BLACK community. All because blacks called her a sellout.Better a sellout that what she is now. Now she wasted a beautiful god given gift for this.
bobby brown had nothing to do with whitney’s drug problem, she was using before she met him. people need to stop blaming other people for decisions another adult makes (especially one that’s older than bobby). she made the decision to be on drugs so that’s her fault and her fault only.
Love me some Wendy, but liked her better on radio. Those tears were FAKE as HECK!!!

Pray for Whitney, please. It breaks my heart to see this woman like this who had this stunning amazing voice that I miss so much.
To princefan, the only point I would agree with you on is the Cissy part and she shouldn’t be wasting her god given talent. For whatever reason she loved Bobby Brown and probably should have divorced him years ago. It seems she really believed in the institution of marriage and having her parents divorce while a teenager probably played a part on why she didn’t want her marriage to end. Again, that is her personal life and I am putting myself as an expert in her personal life because I don’t no anymore about her personal life than someone like Wendy Williams. She doesn’t know why and for what reason that Whitney decided to continue her rehab!!!!
bart’, I saw that same twinkle, and another thing, and I’m not trying to put the “bad-mouth” on her but, outpatient treatment for Whitney is not going to work. She needs to work out the junk like Diana Ross did in “lady-sings-the-blues”. Straight jacket, padded walls and all. She sang in the last movie, who’s gonna do her vocals? Sadly, I will not be suprised when we lose her and now her daughter to this beast…and folks will still blame Bobby.
