*50 Cent now says he’s ”begun to resolve” problems with his record company, Interscope, which have delayed the release of his “Black Magic” album.
Last week, the rapper was threatening to postpone the release of “Black Magic” because Interscope, was not co-operating, but the situation has since changed.
“So I had the record, I was ready to launch, and we sat down and everybody talked. What happens is, there are a lot of people involved in my actual launch,” he told MTV news. “So by the time we got to go sit down with [label boss] Jimmy Iovine, we talked a little bit and then I ended up having to go see Dr. Dre because we had the little issue.
“We sat down, we cleared that up, me and Dre, and then we said, ‘Let’s just get back to the music and do what we do’.”
50 also went on to clarify the people he holds responsible for delaying his fifth studio album are not Dr. Dre or Iovine.
“It’s more the guys that they pass the responsibilities onto,” he said. “It takes longer for people, because they’ll be like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna do this and we’re gonna do that,’ and the building will start having those conversations, but they’re not actually moving at that point.”
A release date has still to be decided for “Black Magic.”
