“Slim” and “Birdman” Williams are known for their prosperous partnership as founders of CMR which is considered the most successful independent record label in America and home to multi-platinum recording artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Jay Sean, and Bow Wow.
CMC is a groundbreaking partnership that pairs the CMR brand with Atria Books, a division of the publishing powerhouse, Simon & Schuster. CMC has also released “Pimp: The Story of My Life” by legendary author Iceberg Slim and will release the entire Iceberg Slim backlist of seven novels, including “Trick Baby” that will be in stores this summer. Legendary west coast radio host Big Boy’s weight-loss manifesto will head up the selection of fall 2011 titles. (Photos by Ken Harris / Kenthephotographer)
