*OK naysayers, don’t look now, but Herman Cain is on to something on the conservative side.
The bottom line is that the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, is doing just fine in his bid to win the Republican presidential nomination. For now.
When it comes to the Gallup poll, he’s the one that’s got the more juice of any candidate on the GOP side.
Basically Mr. Cain’s rags-to-riches story appeals to Tea Party people, and his talk-radio oratory style makes him a powerful speaker.
That’s what followers and interested parties got when Cain delivered a broad-stroked “deficiency of leadership” speech on Saturday.

Perhaps it’s time to face facts and realize that we’re responsible for ourselves. Hard work, vision, dedication to family and country are the only things that will create wealth and lift us from our bondage.

Clearly, Mr. Cain believes in an empowerment society, where we’re each given the ability to improve our own circumstances, and President Obama and his administration are stuck in a victim mentality where the best folks can hope for is a handout from the government. Watching this video, one gets the sense that when Herman Cain debates Obama on race and when Herman Cain debates Obama on the economy, Mr. cain will take Obama to the woodshed.

The Republican party is what it is..HOWEVER, check out Birmingham, Al pre-60′s. Alabama was a democratic stronghold NOT republican.

Actually the Democrats were the segregationist party until 1948. That year, Pres. Truman insisted on there being a Civil Rights plank in the party platform at its National Convention that year. As a result, the “solid south” who were then know as “Dixicrats” bolted the party and switched to the Republican Party and started to take over the party of Lincoln. This takeover is what eventually led to the nomination of right-wing racist Barry Goldwater winning the nomination in 1964. Blacks were solidly Republican until Roosevelts fourth term Then they started to lean Democrat because of Elinor and not Franklin. It was Elinor, not Franklin who pushed for better conditions for Black people. Govs. Barnett, Eastland and Wallace were all Democrats (Dixicrats). All of the southern Democrats, Byrd, McCellan, Sam Ervin, Strom Thurmond oppposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the appointment of Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Court.
There are those among us too young or so locked in their slave mentality that they can’t see the danger of the uncle toms among us. There are none so blind as those who can but choose not to see.
