*Following this week’s announcement that Samuel L. Jackson will voice the audiobook version of new “it” book “Go The (Bleep) to Sleep,” a free version has been downloaded 160,000 times since becoming available two days ago, audio publisher Audible Inc. announced Thursday.
It’s a huge number for audiobooks, but not a record, according to the AP. The final Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” sold more than 200,000 audio copies during its first 48 hours.
The hardcover of “Go the (Bleep) to Sleep,” Adam Mansbach’s adults-only bedtime lament to children, officially went on sale this week.
It was No. 1 on Amazon as of midday today, EST.
