*Warner Bros. Pictures and Carousel Productions present Crazy Stupid Love, a comedy with a heart! If you’re into unpredictable romantic comedies, Steve Carell has done it again! Now with a proven knack for profitable comedy, Steve has to his credit the TV shows Comedy Cental & The Office along with blockbuster movies The 40 Year Old Virgin, Get Smart and Despicable Me. In Crazy Stupid Love, we see love from the guys perspective and Steve as Cal Weaver, the dutiful husband with a cheating wife.
Ryan Gosling is quite charming as Jacob Palmer, the playboy who mentors Cal, while racking up conquests like a magnet. Ryan is the perfect blend of sexy and cool with a boy next door flair. Julianne Moore is Emily Weaver, the wife who wants to trade in her boring life for a fling of adventure with her co-worker played by Kevin Bacon. While Cal attempts to morph into someone with a mere shred of swagger, he is forlorn for his first and only love.
Underneath all of this are the twisted romantic endeavors of the young people in the film. Analeigh Tipton plays Jessica, a 17 year old babysitter with a lethal case of May-December love targeted at Cal who is the father of thirteen year old Robbie (Johan Bobo), the boy she is hired to babysit. Oscar winner Marissa Tomei is delightful as an unlikely date for Cal and as it turns out, they have more in common than they could have ever imagined. Meanwhile the illusive Emma Stone ends up setting one of the characters’ hearts ablaze. Crazy Stupid Love is a wild ride of love and laughter. Prepare to be shocked, inspired and tickled pink. Kudos to writer Dan Fogelman, and directors Glenn Ficarra & John Requa. A vote of excellence also goes to the entire brilliant cast. Other stars include Josh Groban, Liza Lapira and Joey King. Crazy Stupid Love is Executive Produced by David A. Siegel, Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock. This film is rated PG-13 for coarse humor, sexual content and language.
