*Oklahoma news station KFOR.com, reported that federal authorities are now involved with the investigation of a cross burning outside a black church. The fiery scene was spotted by a passing motorist on the front lawn of St. John’s Baptist Church last week in Sapulpa.

Authorities have made no arrests, but are interviewing three persons of interests, including an 18 year old and two juveniles.

“I noticed it still had some smoke coming off it,” Sapulpa resident April Slaven said.

Slaven was shocked to see the smoldering cross outside the church.

She says years ago, her family attended the church.

The Creek County Sheriff’s office took pictures and collected evidence from the scene last week.

Members of the church are being very forgiving.

“I love even the one who did this. I love them, but I don’t love what they did,” church member Cormelia Booker said.
