*Whoa! We’re sure he wasn’t he expecting this. We weren’t.

According to Detroit’s WXYZ-TV, Jalen Rose, the ESPN basketball analyst/commentator as well as former NBA player and University of Michigan star, has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for drunk driving in Oakland County.

No, 20 days isn’t “much,” but who thought he would even get that? But Judge Kimberly Small instructed Rose to report to the Oakland County Jail on Tuesday, August 2 to begin serving his time.

Rose was arrested on March 11 in West Bloomfield Township after rolling his SUV on a snowy night. Rose had a blood alcohol level of 0.12.

He pleaded guilty to the drunk driving charge on May 25.
