*Here’s a mind bending thought. It’s been almost two decades since “The Arsenio Hall Show” wrapped. However, Hall says he’s down for doing it again.
“I’d have to change my name to Nick Cannon and live with Mariah [Carey]. But I think it’s a perfect time for that personally. Give me a microphone. My son’s 11 and he can drive himself to school. I’m ready to host!”
He was asked if he was serious about wanting to revisit a talk show and noted:
“It’s pretty crowded out there. I’m not sure if it’s too crowded for a 55-year-old guy to re-emerge, but if they give me a little daylight I’m gonna slide into it.”
Hall shared his thoughts while speaking to reporters during a PBS panel about an Ed Sullivan Comedy Special premiering August 6 at the Television Critics Association (TCA) meetings going down in Beverly Hills, CA.

Oprah, are you paying attention? This guy would be a great addition to your struggling network. Jmo
Oprah and Obama seem to follow the same business/politics motto. Avoid blk ppl like the plague.
I agree with you Reds, Rosie O’Donnel is Oprah’s Spokesperson. How funny is that, and the only colored (almost anyway) is Rachael Ray. Besides Gayle, I am not saying her network needs to be all Ni###d up and ghettofied, but there is a major lack of diversity on her network!
I totaly agree with you, TGen – and I would love to see Arsenio back on t.v. again!
godspeed Monique! hello R’Senio!
Now this is somebody that would be good for the role. Not like I watch late night tv anyway but he was funny, intelligent, and brought controversial guests to the show. Not buffoonery. But if I were him I would stay away from Ferry Khan like the plague. We know that is why his show failed.
I enjoyed Arsenio’s show, perhaps he could go to OWN either as a night time show or maybe Daytime even!!
Good, we convinced him to return to late night on Twitter. Dude is mad funny on Twitter.
His money must be gettin’ low….
He would be welcomed back with OPENED arms as opposed to what’s on the channels now! Plus, he would breathe a sight of relief to the often forgotten celebrities and recording artists – please come back, Arsenio!
I would stay up to watch his show if he came back. Well, ok, I can’t front. I’d record it on DVR and watch it the next day. But I’d still be watching!
Arsenio’s time has come….and gone, about 20 years ago. Sorry Oprah doesn’t need any retreads but a set of new rubber with killer rims. Not a Continental kit.
