(L-R) Executive producer Evan Bogart, singer Brandy, executive producers Timothy Bogart, and Gary A. Randall speak during the 'Majors & Minors' panel at The Hub portion of the 2011 Summer TCA Tour held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 28, 2011 in Beverly Hills

*Brandy’s booked herself another reality show.

The singer-actress, whose TV resume includes the sitcom “Moesha,” a judging gig on “America’s Got Talent” and her own VH1 series “Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business,” will serve as a mentor on The Hub’s upcoming musical reality series “Majors & Minors.”

The show follows 12 kids ages 10-16 as they are mentored by established music artists. While no one is ever voted off, one lucky contestant will claim the final prize of a recording deal with the RCA/Jive Label Group and an opportunity to be featured in a cross-country concert tour.

Speaking to the Television Critics Association on Friday (see first photo), Brandy said that part of her mentoring will deal with ways to handle sudden fame.

“I think it’s very important to keep honest people around you, especially when you’re so young. And for me, my foundation was my family,” said Brandy, 32.  “And one of the things that I noticed when I went to the show was all of the parents, and the support these children have behind them. And, you know, I told each and every child, I said ‘Keep your family. Keep honest people around you, because that’s what’s going to keep you on track.’ That’s what kept me on track.

Aside from Brandy, other musical artists scheduled to mentor the kids include Adam Lambert, Avril Lavigne Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.

“Majors & Minors” premieres Sept. 23 on The Hub TV Network, a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc.

In the bonus audio below, Brandy reveals the advice she wishes someone would have given her at a young age.
